Love the fact that some guests choose to come here to celebrate – whether it’s honeymoon (our ‘first’, thank you), special wedding anniversaries or birthdays & we’ve had a wonderful autumn period for all these. And the weather must have known because on the whole even November and most of December has been exceptionally good …
We’d long dreamt of an Indian summer here and this year it came – bringing flocks of lovely guests, warm bright sunny days, ripening fruit & produce from the garden and above all, everyone was smiling.
It’s so rare here to get a “proper” summer in July & August but this year we did. And boy did we love those lingering light summer days when it feels it’s never going to get fully dark again.
It is the festival season here – very special! The shortcut I took last November worked! Let me explain! I am so pleased – to cut down on time, rather than digging 3 separate holes for tulips flowering consecutively, I cheated by digging one larger hole and popping all 3 in.
I’ve come to love March – spring is well and truly on its way & it feels as if there lots to look forward to.
A very happy 2014!
A very Happy New Year and already full of thoughts and ideas for the year ahead! Put simply, inside there’s quite a lot of action and outside it’s more planning!
